Daughter of the River

Daughter of the River is an ode to the divine feminine — calm yet commanding, soft yet strong. Inspired by the spiritual symbolism of the flamingo, this piece channels the graceful power of the waters she walks beside. Like Oshun, the Orisha of rivers, beauty, love, and creativity, this figure represents balance, emotional renewal, and the sacred dance between stillness and fire.

The flamingo’s stance is a meditation in itself — a lesson in alignment, authenticity, and owning one’s vibrant truth. Painted in rich oils as part of my Milan Art Mastery journey, this is not just a painting — it's a prayer in pink.

This painting is inspired by the flamingo, a symbol of grace, emotional renewal, balance, and divine feminine energy. The title pays homage to African spiritual traditions, particularly the river goddess Oshun, who embodies beauty, creativity, sensuality, and sacred flow.

As I transition more fully into fine art and music under my creative brand Divine Earth School, this piece marks a pivotal moment — standing boldly in both my voice and vision.
